Ullswater Blonde (3.8%)

Named after our famous lake, Ullswater Blonde is a pale best bitter that’s light and fresh and makes for very easy drinking.

Eden Valley (4.0%)

Eden Valley is a pale summer ale, very light and refreshing and finished with a twist of Czech Saaz hops.

Grasmere Gold (3.9%)

A paler session bitter which is as lush and smooth as it is satisfying.

Borrowdale Bitter (4.2%)

A golden amber ale with a bit more bite than some paler ales, giving more of a hops aroma than many of our beers.

Tirril Brewery Pennine Pilsner
Tirril Brewery Premium Pilsner

Langdale Light (3.9%)

Windermere IPA (4.3%)

Available in 4.5, 9 and 18 Gallon Casks

Red Barn (4.4%)

This is a stronger beer with Munich
and crystal malts giving it a ruby red glow. Again, it is brewed to not be too heavy and has plenty of Goldings aroma. Also available in
 500ml bottles.

Original Bitter (3.8%)

Our original beer. A classic session bitter but not too strongly flavoured for easy drinking. Golden nut brown like traditional best bitters. Also available as Smooth Bitter in 11 gallon kegs.

Academy (4.2%)

This is our darkest, maltiest and most traditional ale. This beer has more Challenger and Fuggles hops infused into it to give it body and flavour, and less Goldings for aroma at the end. A great winter drink, but brewed down to 1008.5 it is not heavy drinking. Also available in 500ml bottles.

Old Faithful (4.0%)

By far our best seller, this is a light session beer with plenty of Goldings aroma hops. A classic blonde ale. Also available in 500ml bottles and as a Pale Smooth Bitter in 11 gallon kegs.

1823 (4.1%)

Named after the 1823 brewing rooms at Brougham Hall which once housed the brewery, this very popular beer is darker than the average bitter with plenty of character, but not heavy. Many pubs enjoy this as a house beer, giving a contrast from the many light ales on offer.

Pennine Pilsner (4.0%)

Here we have perfection in a bottle. Brewed with Pennine water, lager malt and British top cropping yeast – then flavoured with the best Czech Saaz hops and cold conditioned for that refreshingly crisp pilsner taste.

In the style of a lager we brew our pilsners down to a final gravity of 1006, making them less full-bodied and more refreshing.

Brewed for bottling and kegging, we cask this as an extremely pale ale only when the weather is hot enough. On a sunny day other casks simply can’t compete with their crisp light refreshment. Our pilsners are available year round in 330ml bottles and in 11 gallon kegs.

Premium Pilsner (5.0%)

Lovingly crafted for a stronger premium taste, this work of art is also brewed with Pennine water, lager malt and British top cropping yeast – then flavoured with the best Czech Saaz hops and cold conditioned for premium refreshment.

Spirits

Our unwavering obsession in the pursuit of perfection has led us to create the truly magnificent spirits you see before you. Made with Lakeland water, farm malted barley and our very own Red Barn, Academy and Old Faithful ale recipes, we’ve created a suite of distinctive single malts for the more discerning palate. And the ultimate chaser for their respective beers.

Each one is 5 times hand-distilled in small batch copper stills – which, at just 200L, happen to be the smallest commercial stills in the world. And with such small batches comes unparalleled care and attention to taste and detail, resulting in a unique elegance with finely balanced notes and a satisfying mouth feel and finish that makes you want to sip and savour every last drop.

We are the craftsmen, the artists and the drinkers. We are Tirril – the true spirit of The Lakes.
